New Listing, "Salve Regina," Plus a New Coupon Code!
One of the things I love most about ancient prayers is how they linger in the imagination long after the words themselves have been spoken. A great example is Salve Regina (”Hail, Holy Queen”), a hymn that Christians have prayed and sung for centuries as an expression of trust, hope, and affection for the Blessed Virgin Mary. This week I’ve released a new collection of 10 images inspired by the prayer, with each image reflecting a different line from the text and inviting the viewer into a visual meditation on its themes.
The image featured above, Hail, Holy Queen, became the heart of the entire collection. Mary is shown enthroned amid the vastness of creation, crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth, yet her expression remains gentle and contemplative rather than distant or triumphant. The glowing rose-window halo behind her echoes the beauty of cathedral architecture, while the stars, planets, and swirling galaxies surrounding her point toward the cosmic scope of God’s redemption. The image draws inspiration from Revelation’s vision of the woman clothed with the sun, while also reflecting the Church’s long tradition of honoring Mary as the mother who continually leads us toward Christ.
The remaining images follow the prayer line by line, from Mother of Mercy and Our Life, Our Sweetness, and Our Hope to Show Unto Us the Blessed Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus and Pray for Us, O Holy Mother of God. Together they form a visual journey through one of the most beloved Marian prayers ever written.
As with my other collections, each image is provided as a high-resolution digital download suitable for large-format printing. My hope is that these pieces can serve not only as decoration, but also as quiet companions for prayer, reflection, and contemplation.
